Reado, Think Ink Media Inc.’s audio book brand came into existence in 2010. It is
the brain child of young entrepreneurs Sumit Suneja and Kunal Pancholi. Kunal an
MBA in marketing with a telecom background and Sumit who has extensive experience
in the media industry, had been avid audio book listeners for several years.
They realised were plenty others like them, who due to rushed lives and limited
time had lost touch with books and the art of storytelling. It became clear that
life now need not be about compromising or choosing, it was possible to be driving
to work, stuck in endless traffic and still listen to your favourite books. You
could now be waiting at an airport but have your favourite book characters giving
you company. All you had to do was relax and let someone else regale you with stories
of your choice. All that excitement and endless possibilities lead to the creation
of ‘Reado’.
The audio book Industry globally is a USD 7 billion dollar industry; however in
India the industry was as good as being non-existent. In September 2010, Reado launched
its first audio book “The Immortals of Meluha” and since then Reado has come a long
way. Today with 100’s of titles available in the market, with books ranging from
popular contemporary fiction and classics to health and self-books to business books
Reado has taken the market by storm. Partnering with some of the biggest names in
publishing like Penguin, Hachette, Harvard Business Review and Brilliance, Reado
has successfully managed to create a market for audio books in India.
Having come this far, there is still a long way to go. With the launch of www.reado.com
at the World Book Fair 2012 New Delhi, Reado has recognised the change in content
consumption patterns and is now making its content available digitally direct to
phones, MP3 and other music players making listening to audio books more convenient
and easier.
Reado.com aims to be a hub for audio books retail; it aims to be a one stop shop
for all audio books listeners providing them with the best in fiction, non-fiction
and self-help and ensuring that no matter where you are, no matter how busy and
pressed for time you are your book is always by your side, because we believe the
Future of Reading is Listening...!

“Reado has been a pioneer in the world of Indian Audio books. With the increasing
time constraints that Indians face, Audio books can be an effective way for them
to catch up with non-fiction or fiction reading. All my best wishes to Reado towards
their continued success.” Amish Tripathi, Author
“With the change in lifestyle audiobooks have emerged as a preferred mode of content
consumption globally. Reado has certainly kick started the audiobooks business here
in India and the market has an immense potential to evolve. Content delivery from
world class narrators via a simple user interface would become the pillars for Reado’s
success in time to come. In a world of smartphones and tablets the mode of consumption
is rapidly changing to digital and we believe the market is poised to go in the
same direction for audiobooks. Seamlessly integration of audio content on different
devices supported by a network of applications is the way forward. We wish Reado
team ‘All the Best’ for their new venture.” Ankit Nagori, Flipkart
“Our authors and we love the Reado productions of our books. The team at Reado understands
